Brian Darmitzel

The County of Santa Clara Government Fellowship Program has been an excellent career development opportunity and a great learning experience overall. I am extremely grateful to Jennifer, Destiny, and Zarina for managing this program so well, to the Board of Supervisors for supporting the Fellowship Program, and the Santa Clara County Privacy Office for providing myself and other fellows in the office with an excellent fellowship experience.

Some of my accomplishments this summer include collaborating in the creation of internal documents to streamline processes which will benefit a few County Departments. Additionally, I conducted research and drafted a document providing basic information on artificial intelligence and factors to consider when reviewing such systems. I was also given the opportunity to contribute research findings in the development of a new policy that the Privacy Office is leading.
